Job Description
Element Bars is a contract food bar manufacturer devoted to creating a bar that meets taste and texture preferences, and the desired nutritional profile. We create whole food bars in accordance with food certifications and dietary requirements including Organic, Non GMO, and Gluten Free. We are GMP certified with HAACP Protocol. We have the capacity to produce over 1,000,000 bars per month for customers. We are seeking a Materials Planner for our growing facility.
In this position, you are responsible for planning and monitoring the materials and products needed for the production of our products. You will also manage the flow of inventory and make sure products are properly shipped to customers. Using customer information, you help to set up a schedule for ordering materials and maintaining an efficient inventory. You'll create and maintain an inventory schedule by watching trends and customer demands to make sure there are always enough products and manufacturing materials.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Determine material specifications.
- Create and maintain inventory schedules, including inventory accuracy and control.
- Coordinate with internal departments
- Use the MRP system to analyze customer requirements and demands, and optimize material purchases based on factors such as:
- Customer required-by dates
- Supplier lead-times & MOQ's
- Combine common material requirements and source these based on appropriate planning horizon
- Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns.
- Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
- MRP experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
