General Description / Primary Purpose:The Associate Director of the USoar program, under the direction of USoar Director or above, plays an integral role in the design, development, implementation and interpretation of grant processes and/or programs.
Job Function:- Responsible for the overall administration of programs, policies, and procedures for a functional area within the USoar program, housed in the Student Accessibility Center (SAC)
- Manage and supervise grant-funded staff including program coordinator, mentors, and tutors
- Analyze, interpret, implement, and supervise appropriate procedures and practices in the provision of the program deliverables to students enrolled in the USoar program
- Manage grant funds including foundation accounts and scholarships for students in the USoar program
- Track expenditures and manage incoming funds from USoar program grant
- Responsible for overseeing and carrying out human resource requirements for employment of USoar staff
- Provide reports to appropriate stakeholders concerning USoar grant funding and usage
- Assist USoar director in the development and implementation of strategies and objectives to ensure USoar program goals are met according to state requirements
- Supervise USoar staff, students and volunteers as assigned
- Represent USoar director in his/her absence

- Host/attend tabling events to promote/market/advertise USoar program

Marginal Functions:- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of the USoar program to support the mission of the University and the USoar program
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence
Required Qualifications:
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and four years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and six years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 10 years of direct experience.

Departmental Requirements:Experience with budgets, funding, grants, expense reports, financial aid/scholarships, and accounting is required. Experience working with students with disabilities in higher education is highly desired.

This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
