NielsenIQ is searching for a passionate and ambitious Associate Sales Director for its Consumer Insights team to play a strategic role with senior team leaders while supporting and growing both existing and new client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Execute commercial strategy and sales of Consumer Insights business solutions
- Self-starter to proactively prospect the marketplace to generate sales leads and new potential clients to maintain a pipeline of Sales opportunities to ensure sustainable revenue growth and meet/exceed revenue targets
- Collaborate internally with extended NIQ business units and account teams to develop relationships and build sales strategy for Consumer Insights
- Build meaningful client relationships with client stakeholders and teams
- Use a consultative selling approach to identify client business need, qualify, probe, scope and sell in NIQ Consumer Insights solutions
- Achieve sales and strategic objectives by clearly articulating NIQ's value proposition and use cases to decision makers specific to the product portfolio of responsibility
- Represent the voice of the customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications, and delivery teams
- Accurately forecast the sales pipeline, areas of growth, areas of risk and prioritize to close sales consistent with monthly and quarterly cycles
- Ability to weave client specific insights, industry material and thought leadership information into client conversations to build context and clarity to the outcomes our solutions can deliver
- Execute and manage end-to-end sales process including pricing, cross-selling, upselling, negotiations and closing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in market measurement including qualitative and quantitative research with sales/business development and revenue responsibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in scoping and developing proposals, and negotiation strategies
- Excellent sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain and grow client relationships and meet revenue targets
- Thorough understanding of quantitative and qualitative research principles and methodologies that is inclusive of brand, consumer, shopper, media, and marketing research.
- Strong leadership skills and decision-making capabilities
- Familiarity with NIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus
