Associate Director Of Cyber Security Risk And Compliance

As the Associate Director of Cyber SecurityRisk and Compliance, you’ll lead Best Buy’s Compliance Architecture team in support of SOX, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, SOC2 and other cybersecurity-related requirements. This will include supporting several external and internal assessments and audits throughout the year as well as supporting business and technical teams to ensure changing environments maintain security controls. In addition, this you’ll work other departments to improve the capability and efficiency of security controls across the company.
This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
What you’ll do

• Partner with Best Buy application teams, infrastructure teams and subsidiaries to design and enhance security controls that meet SOX, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, SOC and other Cyber Security-related requirements
• Consult with application and infrastructure teams early in the development processes to ensure systems and applications are prepared for future audits
• Map applicable security requirements and controls to compliance scopes
• Support control implementation projects run by technology, security and operations partners
• Consult with security architecture, application and infrastructure teams.
• Collaborate with compliance program management and Compliance operations to effectively maintain organizational compliance with Cyber Security requirements

Basic qualifications

• 7 years of Information Security assessment and/or audit experience.
• 7 years of compliance experience (e.g. SOX, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, and/or SOC).
• 7 years of Cyber Security framework experience (e.g. NIST, ISO, HITRUST).

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, IT, computer science, engineering or related field
• CISSP/CISM/CISA certification
• Knowledge of retail and health industries in the context of Cyber Security
• Ability to travel 25% of the year in support of annual audits
• Technical expertise in security control design in one or more Cyber Security domains.
• Excellent relationship building skills including across cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written presentations and reports
