Position Overview:

The Senior Director, Cyber Security Operations overseas Cyber Security measures throughout the organization. This senior-level position will participate in strategic oversight of every aspect of security - from staffing and budgets to protocols and incident response. Reporting directly to the CISO you will continue to develop and deliver a comprehensive information security program for Insulet Corporation global operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the information/Cyber Security program is aligned with both IT, Corporate risk, and business objectives with a focus on corporate assets, data security, and product security.

Responsibilities:
Global Infrastructure:

  • Lead the Security Operation center and enhance incident response capabilities.
  • Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies and procedures that are designed to protect business growth by outlining incident response, threat hunting and forensics approaches.
  • Work with CIO, CISO and other executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology
  • Work with Managed Security partner to implement continuous monitoring of security vulnerabilities, threats and events to Insulet Corporation assets
  • Identify key risk indicators (KRIs) to continually monitor our cyber program's risk posture and health.
  • Act as a focal point for IT security investigations and direct a full investigation with recommended courses of action
  • Monitor threat actor activity, create proactive defenses and tailored response capabilities.
  • Lead penetration testing, table top exercises, and generally support various internal team with audits, requirements, and architecture efforts
  • Prepare financial forecasts for Security Operations and proper maintenance cover for security assets
  • Participate in strategic planning for the deployment of information security technologies and program enhancements
  • Provide leadership, training opportunities and guidance to personnel
  • Implement education programs focused on user awareness and security compliance
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and/or increase business benefits while meeting or exceeding expected performance levels on a consistent basis.
  • Communication to internal and external stakeholders as part of security awareness and risk response.
  • Monitor threat actor activity, create proactive defenses and tailored response capabilities.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience required
  • 10+ years of proven Cyber Security and 5 years in leadership/management role
  • Deep, hands on knowledge of SOC tooling (EDR, NDR, SEIM and so on)
  • Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security

Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Polished communications skills, appropriate for a broad range audience
  • Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, analytical thoroughness, clear and concise communications, and the ability to lead and mentor team members
  • Must be a relationship builder who has works well with both systems owners and management.
  • CISSP preferred

NOTE: This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually 100%; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired). #LI-Remote
Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $184,300.00 - $277,000.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
