Summary
The position is responsible for finding RFPs (Response for Proposals) that are consistent with HSAG's lines of work, including Medicaid, Medicare, and private consulting projects. This position will also be responsible for developing, producing, and submitting proposals that adhere to strict timelines and quality standards.
Essential Competencies, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the RFP process for the company in order to maintain current contracts that are up for renewal and to support the development of new business aligned with HSAG's strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure all key RFP and proposal milestones and timelines are met. Develop checklists and conduct quality measures during the writing and production of the RFP to ensure the proposal is responsive to the requirements set out in the RFP and that it is produced in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the writing, editing, and review of material from other RFP writers and subject matter experts such that the responses are consistent and read with one voice.
  • Represent HSAG in a professional manner, at all times.

Additional Tasks
  • Be available throughout all phases of the RFP response process.
  • Work to continually improve the RFP Department's process for producing quality RFPs in an efficient and responsive manner. This includes, but is not limited to, organizing a library of resource materials; maintaining an up-to-date and complete compendium of HSAG's expertise and experience in its various lines of work; and composing/updating staff resumes and bios.
  • Project deadlines may necessitate occasional extended work hours.
Compensation: $115,500 - $125,500/annually DOE
Job Requirements:

    • Education and/or Experience
      • College degree required; advanced degree preferred.
      • Experience writing and producing RFP responses in health care or a related field. A minimum of three years of direct RFP experience preferred.

      Other Qualifications
      • Knowledge and experience using advanced reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
      • Ability to design, implement, and manage appropriate action plans.
      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); ability to navigate and perform research via the Internet. Working knowledge of MS Project preferred.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with others in a team setting.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
