General Summary:
The Associate, Commercial Business and Planning is responsible for assisting in various analyses of business performance and new products/opportunities to support HCA's commercial growth and is also involved in business planning and operations improvement. In addition to Commercial, the role will also support HCI's core business needs and activities on a regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in regular and ad-hoc analyses on existing business performance and assessment of new opportunities and products; prepare presentation for audience at various levels:
• Data collection and analysis of department KPI
• Monthly budget and expenses tracking
• Business planning and monthly forecasting
• Assist in designing and updating financial models for
• Commercial programs and initiatives as needed
2. Support HCI business needs and activities:
• Ensure monthly file is remitted each month, monitor any correction or issues
• Own CLIP table to ensure correct and modify as needed on a go forward basis (e.g. states change, products additions/ removals, etc.)
• Monitor and address any trust balance shortfall test completed quarterly
• Participate / lead weekly vendor / partner calls
• Support Vendor annual audit needs
• Monitor invoicing to ensure vendor is paid
• Schedule/manage Assurant partner/risk reviews (1-2x year). Support any contractual changes to contracts among organization and partner
• Develop pro forma CFC
3. Perform as business partner for essential Commercial systems (e.g., Salesforce) and work with IT support team to provide prompt solution to questions and requests
4. Assist in developing and maintaining automated processes (RPA) to support Commercial activities (e.g., audit, funding, internal & external reporting etc.).
5. Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
• 3 - 5 years related work experience
• Captive finance and commercial lending experience required
• BA / BS Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or other related field
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills: strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
• Knowledge of basic programming (e.g., VB/VBA) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate to all levels of management
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
