Acentra is looking for an Associate Business Analyst to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The role of the Associate Business Analyst is to assist in analyzing business problems, identifying gaps, and providing technical support in areas around basic to moderate information systems. This role assists with several requirements throughout the project life cycle and involves an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. This role is a member of the Business Analyst Team and reports directly to the Director, Business Analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works under close supervision with clearly defined guidelines and direction from senior Business Analyst team members
• Functions as an individual contributor to develop and modify documentation related to basic to moderately complex information systems
• Assists in performing analysis of current business and user needs
• Assists in creating detailed documentation of business requirements and system(s) functionality - use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis to create or modify requirements documents and design specifications
• Communicates issues and risks to manager and direct supervisor
• Supports testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of information systems
• Helps Training team with end-user documentation
• Participates in developing solutions to existing business process problems
• Knowledgeable of one or more modules
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of business analysis methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and learns to apply them to projects to that ensure business analysis objectives are achieved
• Participates in requirements management activities and design session activities
• Assists in acting as a liaison between the client and the technology teams
• Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence
• Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations)
• Requests and gives both negative and positive feedback

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field; Equivalent work experience considered.
• 1 or more years of business analysis or related experience
• Understanding of SharePoint applications, MS Teams, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience with the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver to commitments time, knowledge and information with others
• Understanding of the requirements management life cycle
