Assistant/Associate Research Professor Of Surgery

Position Details

The Indiana University School of Medicine's Department of Surgery is seeking as Assistant/Associate Research Professor to support and expand quantitative research efforts within the Surgical Outcomes & Quality Improvement Center (SOQIC). This individual will pursue their own line of research and partner with SOQIC investigators. Responsibilities also include managing and overseeing master's degree level analysts as they provide complex quantitative analytic support for research carried out by clinical faculty in the Department of Surgery. Opportunities for additional training in models, methods, and grant writing are possible, along with support for travel to present research at national and international meetings.

Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant field, excellent English communication skills, a desire to mentor master's level analysts and research fellows, and ability to lead groups. We seek candidates who have a record of success in publishing using complex statistical methods. Candidates with expertise in health services and outcomes research are preferred.
