Position Overview:
This position is responsible for working with the Warehouse Manager to provide outstanding customer service by organizing the receiving, storing, and sending out of goods. Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.Company Overview:

- Assists in organizing and prioritizing the daily workflow of the departments to ensure work is completed and no department falls behind.
- Assists in making sure all personnel is trained on current policy and procedures for the job, ensuring that staff is cross-trained.
- Administrative functions such as daily staff meetings, update ADP, approve PTO, employee counseling sessions, interview and hire staff, and coordinate with HR.
- Safety functions such as ensuring warehouse equipment is working properly, walking the warehouse for any safety issues, hold monthly and quarterly safety meetings.
- Review monthly reports for your warehouse performance and to identify problem areas.
- Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure that operations are running at peak capacity.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Fully understand all warehouse procedures and policies.
- Keep Warehouse Manager informed of staff performance and status.
- Supervise staff and work consistent with SSF Employee Handbook, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude with all SSF employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
- Set a good example for the team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead diverse teams.
- Be certified to drive forklift, if applicable.
- Have a valid Driver’s License, with clean driving record, insurable by SSF under company policy.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive use of hands and arms
Other Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AS400
- Ability to prioritize, attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, motivation and team building skills
Education Required
- College degree or equivalent work experience
