Anticipated Hiring Range: $130,000 - $145,000 per year. Salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected.
About the role:
Reporting to the Vice President for Business and Finance, the Assistant Vice President ofEqual Opportunity & Dispute Resolution, (AVP) serves as the University's DHR Administrator and Title IX Coordinator . The AVP is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership, management, and programmatic direction of the University's non-discrimination/harassment efforts consistent with CSU Nondiscrimination Policy. The position also provides Administrative oversight of the Campus Clery Director.
The AVP is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and overseeing overall campus-wide implementation of and compliance with federal and state Equal Opportunity and non-discrimination laws and regulations as offers guidance and support for the Clery Director in their efforts to implement the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. In addition, the AVP oversees the implementation and on-going management of a Restorative Justice program that addresses incidents of bias and interpersonal-related harm. Ensures that Bias incidents are responded to and education is provided where appropriate.
Duties include the oversight and coordination of training, education, communications, and administration of complaint procedures for employees, students, and third parties in the areas of protected status discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, dating, and domestic violence, and stalking. The AVP has authority across all Campus-based divisions and programs (e.g., Academic Affairs, Business & Finance, Student Affairs, University Advancement, Information Technology, Athletics, Housing, Human Resources, University Police, etc) to monitor, supervise, oversee, and ensure implementation of CSU's Nondiscrimination Policies in all areas.

Required Education and Experience:
A master's degree in social work, psychology, higher education administration or related field from an accredited university or equivalent education and experience.
AND
3-5 years professional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Experience must include investigating, adjudicating and resolving allegations of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct/sexual violence or in administering and coordinating a comprehensive program addressing complex employment matters.

- Trauma informed training.
- Restorative justice and/or alternative Dispute Resolution experience.
