Overview

 

Seeking a self-starting, strategic thinker to join the essie DMI team leading our Global Brand Engagement team. Responsible for end to end and Brand level consumer relationship. Ensures consumer centricity is at the heart of brand development. Responsible for establishing & executing the social, A&I, ecomm and communication strategies for the brand. This position will be responsible for managing large scale, total category projects and direct reports. This position is a key leadership role and plays an important role in the development and coaching of future digital marketing leaders. Must have strong communication skills to effectively work cross-functional teams to drive alignment of marketing goals and achieve functional and company objectives. Candidate will be responsible for the development and management of multiple agency relationships, and management of the annual budgets. 

 

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing experience. At least 3 years of digital marketing & strategy experience, focused on websites, mobile marketing and content development preference for beauty and/or fashion
  • A pulse on trends, cultural/global conversations and the ever-changing social and influencer landscape, with proven success in activating on behalf of a Global Brand
  • Experience with talent management, briefing and influencer activation, developing strong relationships on behalf of the brand
  • Command for working in an integrated marketing mix, managing vendors, budgets and internal junior team members
  • A big thinker with highly skilled in storytelling and self-expression through color
  • Must have an excellent aesthetic sense
  • Must be organized but also nimble and flexible to adjust to real-time demand
  • Experience with social tools/influencer tools like Net Base, Rival IQ, Sprinklr and Traackr
  • Strong understanding of social media strategies and platforms
  • Must have a foundational expertise of e-commerce
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of industry technology and emerging trends in digital 
  • Exceptional presentation, written, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage agencies and deliver within tight timelines
  • Good sense of initiative and strong in follow-up skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills; ability to effectively multi-task 
  • Boldness to think outside of the box and bring break-thru, integrated ideas

Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives vision for the online consumer experience and engagement
  • Responsible for growing eCommerce for the Brand and ensuring that countries adopt best practices
  • Oversees brand website and roadmap for service strategy and add on services and tools
  • Responsible for the Brand’s visibility strategy and engagement on social media, including global content creation
  • Responsible for Advocacy & Influence strategy and frame
  • Build relationships with influencers and be very familiar with their content and audience to inform how the brand will work with influencers through earned and owned content
  • Lead talent negotiations, briefs and program execution – whether for in-person or virtual/digital influencer programs
  • Responsible for the Brand image; ensuring its consistency and long term reputation
  • Oversees events strategy and brand response to social issues as well as philanthropy efforts
  • Accountable for essie events, philanthropy efforts, PR and crisis management
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop consumer strategy and ensure full 360 launch
  • Ensure the feasibility and profitability of projects
  • Work with countries and zones to ensure project is attractive locally
  • Assess project performance using data provided by analytics
  • Orchestrate the creation of always on content
  • Identify digital innovations to maintain competitive edge
  • Actively participate in innovation sharing and upskilling

  • Salary Range: $144,300 – $210,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
