​​​​​This full-time position works– 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday - Friday. The schedule may vary, so flexibility is important. The pay is $12-15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center located: 207 W. Lancaster Rd., Orlando, FL 32809

TheAssistant Teacher (3-year-old classroom) works with Lead Teacher to coordinate engaging developmental activities and implements a curriculum that prepares children for school and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Assistant Preschool Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.

What You’ll Do:
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
• Follow all facility policies and state regulations
• Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings.
• Must be able to lift, push or carry up to 40-50lbs.
• Able to stand for more than 2 or 3 hours.
• Must be able to use both hands consistently every day.

What We Need from You: 
•   Willingness to obtain DCF 45 hours preferred
•   Must clear level II DCF background check 
•   High School Diploma and/or Degree in early childhood education or related field of study
• Minimum of 1 year of professional early childhood education or experience
•   Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns 
•   Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
•   CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification required
•   Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long period of time and Lift up to 35 pounds
