Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the day-to-day operations of our properties. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager in overseeing all aspects of property management, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Coordinate and schedule property showings for prospective tenants
- Conduct background checks and verify rental applications
- Assist with lease preparation and ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately
- Respond to tenant inquiries and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner
- Assist with rent collection and ensure all payments are recorded correctly
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, working closely with vendors and contractors
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities using our office management software (CMMS)
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including creating online listings and managing social media accounts
Experience:
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with property management software (CMMS) is a plus
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines is beneficial
- Experience in property maintenance or construction is a bonus
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong communication skills are essential
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts professionally
- Knowledge of property management principles and practices
