Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
V2X specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations.
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager. This position will provide support in performing project task definition and workload planning, acquisition management, funds management, and financial cost accounting.
Key responsibilities:
Act as overall lead, manager, and administrator for project.
Support budgeting, project, and program planning, and maintain program information in business enterprise tools which may include but are not limited to: SAP/Navy ERP; Work in Progress Database; Program Management Tools; Command Staffing work-year database; and Workload Assignment Agreements.
Serve as the primary interface and Point of Contact with government program team on program/project actions.
Oversee contractor execution of contractor requirements.
Manage acquisition and employment of program and project resources.
Support project leads in the performance of program tasks, respond to administrative and programmatic data calls, and provide administrative planning related to program events and the day-to-day operations of assigned projects.
Provide life-cycle acquisition management.
Potential travel may be required to support customer requirements as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
Education:
BS/ BA degree in arts or science. Business, economics, or management background preferred. Defense Acquisition University Level 2 or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of three or more years of DoD acquisition experience with at least one year being focused in program management; four years of experience preferred.
Should have knowledge of and experience in:
Implementing policy and coordinating Navy procedures.
Developing project budgets.
Government contract and procurement policies to meet life-cycle support requirements.
Navy ERP highly desired.
Competency:
Working knowledge of team function within the organization; broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills.
Works within established guidelines, processes, and procedures. May recommend improvements to achieve team goals. Objectives for work defined by customer and team.
Other Requirement:
An active DoD Secret clearance required.
Software:
Microsoft office application
Technology:
Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
