Plumbing, Heating, Fire Sprinkler Company is seeking detail orientated Administrative Assistant/Junior Project Manager
We expect you to be a team player and in this very fast paced environment, you must also be a self-starting multi-tasker. Your duties include responding to RFPs, collecting bids from vendors, writing change orders to current scopes of work, reviewing approvals. You along with our team will oversee all aspects of projects from start to finish for installation in all types of buildings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create and review project submittals.
Create and review project change orders.
Ensuring project deadlines are met.
Providing administrative support as needed.
Undertaking project tasks as required.
Ensuring all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project; including but not limited to: Facilitate project change orders, Coordinate with filed staff, GC, Dept. of Buildings and utility companies, Assist in Preparing AIA requisitions, Assist in providing Certificates of Insurances (COIs) as needed, Track punch lists items, Compile close out documents.
Expectations:
Previous work experience as an Junior/Assistant Project Manager for a Plumbing Company is preferred but not required.
Well Versed in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excell, Adobe/PDFSolid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Able to work to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
Attention to detail
Punctual
Works well under pressure, manages and meets project deadlines
Ability to interact with all levels of management
Must be willing to travel to project sites throughout NYC as needed
Qualifications: preferred but not required
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related program (Last Year Internship acceptable as well, with intent to continue post grad)
- 1-3 years of experience working as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Accountant in the construction industry, MEP
