The Department of Nursing Science at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level teaching to start in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pediatric content in the nursing program and other courses as negotiated. Some teaching over the summer months will be expected. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. Candidates within one to two years of doctoral degree completion will also be considered for this position.
The successful candidate will have a strong experiential foundation as a pediatric nurse educator with expertise in evidence-based nursing care of infants, children, and adolescents. The applicant will have opportunities to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.Teaching responsibilities will include classroom as well as clinical instruction. Experience with the use of simulation at all educational levels, as well as with online teaching, is desirable.
Candidates will be expected to serve the Department of Nursing Science and College by participating in committees and student-focused events. The candidate is accountable for maintaining an active program of scholarship (discovery or translation), depending on the terminal degree.
