The College of Health, Arts, and Sciences at Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology position in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).
This position is based on the Klamath Falls campus and teaches a variety of undergraduate courses in our BS in Applied Psychology program. Depending on need, the percentage of teaching responsibility will be flexibly split between our Klamath Falls (.50) and Online (.50) programs. Potential courses include Social Psychology, Human Development, Career and Field Preparation, Capstone, Abnormal Psychology, Basic Counseling, and/or Introductory Psychology; as well as courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
The Applied Psychology program is housed within Oregon Tech’s Humanities and Social Sciences department – a collegial environment who encourages interdisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will support our online and Klamath Falls programs through teaching, academic advising, program assessment, and engagement in student activities including applied research projects.
Applied research and excellence in instruction are expected of tenure track faculty at Oregon Tech. Service to the department, institution, and community are also highly valued.
Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university. Qualified candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach a broad range of classes which support Oregon Tech’s current curriculum both on campus and online.
Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) required. While ABD candidates will be considered, successful degree completion prior to January 1, 2025 is required for reappointment.
