- Carroll University (CU) seeks an Instructional Faculty in Nursing for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, with the opportunity for tenure. The Department of Nursing, in the College of Health Sciences (CHS), offers a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree program with current enrollment of close to 500 students. Additionally, the department offers educational programs at the associate and master's degree levels. Candidates who are innovative and value a dynamic and comprehensive approach to curriculum, instruction, and enjoy interacting with students and other health care professionals delivering interprofessional education are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibilities of this 9-month appointment includes teaching and service. Teaching includes facilitation of courses in the undergraduate BSN curriculum, with an opportunity for mental health, community health and/or foundational clinical education focus.
Qualifications:
- MSN required; doctorate preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with broader clinical nursing experience. Current Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Wisconsin is required. Bilingual preferred but not necessary. Good organization and collaboration skills.

The Program:
- The Department of Nursing is approved by the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and the BSN program is accredited by CCNE through December 2030. Since 2010, Carroll nursing graduates have an NCLEX RN pass rate of 95%-100%. The program utilizes a state of the art, 15,000 square foot, nursing simulation laboratory in the newly constructed Douglas N. and Nancy J. Hastad Hall which opened in January 2018. The Department of Nursing has a strong record of private foundation support and federal grant funding through Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Health and Human Services (HHS). Current practicum affiliations include health systems in southeastern Wisconsin and community health agencies.
The College:
- The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments-Public Health, Athletic Training, Human Movement Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies. Health sciences account for ~60% of the University enrollment. The mission of the College of Health Science is to educate students to be innovative professionals who collaborate to serve the health needs of their communities. A dynamic and growing entity, College wide foci include interprofessional education and practice, the integrated approach to health, innovative learning and healthcare technologies, community partnerships and service to medically underserved populations. The new Waukesha Free Clinic at Carroll University expands education and clinic opportunities for the College's graduate and undergraduate students. The College supports the interdisciplinary nature of health science education and has received federal and private foundation grant awards to support these as well as program specific initiatives.

- Founded in 1846, Carroll University is an independent, co-educational comprehensive university grounded in the liberal arts tradition. The Pioneer Core general education curriculum has a strong emphasis on developing intercultural awareness and includes cross-cultural immersion experiences.
