The Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2024. UWO is searching for outstanding candidates who can add to the existing research and teaching strengths and be a leader of the new Biomedical Engineering (BME) efforts at UWO. As a new BME program, the successful candidate will have a tremendous opportunity to shape the program and exert leadership in a collegial and growing department. Responsibilities Teach courses as required in the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology, establish an active research program in an area of biomedical engineering, and contribute to professional service activities at the department, campus, and national level. Qualifications Required:- Earned doctorate in an engineering discipline with a focus in human health or a closely related field in human health. ABD candidates will be considered. Official transcripts showing conferment must be provided prior to starting work.

- Demonstrated ability to teach courses in biomanufacturing, biomaterials, synthetic biology, prosthetics/orthopedics, medical device design, biomedical imaging, robotics, and/or programming/computing.
- Demonstrated ability to form productive collaborations with both internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to establish an active research program.
- Demonstrated experience fostering an inclusive learning, research, service, and/or outreach environment.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with external partners to help enhance the existing program offerings (teaching and/or research) of the university.
