Assistant Professor Of Engineering

The Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2024. UWO is searching for outstanding candidates who can add to the existing research and teaching strengths and be a leader of the new Biomedical Engineering (BME) efforts at UWO. As a new BME program, the successful candidate will have a tremendous opportunity to shape the program and exert leadership in a collegial and growing department. • Earned doctorate in an engineering discipline with a focus in human health or a closely related field in human health.  ABD candidates will be considered. Official transcripts showing conferment must be provided prior to starting work.

• Demonstrated ability to teach courses in biomanufacturing, biomaterials, synthetic biology, prosthetics/orthopedics, medical device design, biomedical imaging, robotics, and/or programming/computing.
• Demonstrated ability to form productive collaborations with both internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to establish an active research program.
• Demonstrated experience fostering an inclusive learning, research, service, and/or outreach environment.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with external partners to help enhance the existing program offerings (teaching and/or research) of the university.
