Position Summary

Job Announcement for Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Educational Psychology


The Educational Psychology Program at the University of New Mexico invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) faculty position beginning August 2024. Responsibilities will include maintaining a program of scholarly research, conducting research supervision, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contributing service to the department, college, and the field. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

The UNM College of Education and Human Sciences, comprised of five academic departments, is a future-oriented, dynamic professional school. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology, or related field, by appointment start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Excellence, or potential for excellence, in research related to academic and social wellbeing, academic motivation, human
development, or a related area, which may be applied to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in learning settings.
2. Excellence, or potential for excellence, in teaching Educational Psychology coursework at the collegiate level.
3. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success in learning setting as well as working with broadly
diverse communities.
