Department Overview

Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC), an Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Partner, is seeking a Clinician-Educator to support their primary care clinic in Forest Grove Oregon, to provide exceptional patient care and further the educational mission. This position is a full-time academic position in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, Department of Internal Medicine at OHSU School of Medicine.

Function/Duties of Position

The Clinician Educator will be responsible for the following:

• Serve as a Primary care clinician in the Faculty Practice with OHSU at Forest Grove Primary Care Clinic (to include continuity care, as well as interim or same day care).
• Participate in clinical based teaching of OHSU students and in the future Hillsboro Medical Center based Internal Medicine residents, such as resident continuity clinic precepting
• Potential for inpatient general medicine clinical work
• This position will include continuity ambulatory practice and potentially interim care for the practice.
• Clinical care duties will be the equivalent of 7 half days per week. Clinical work will include of precepting residents approximately one half day a week. Evening clinic hours will be expected at a 1 day per week.
• The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship, as directed by his or her department.

• The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to work with a team of health care providers and collaborate to achieve clinical care goals.
