QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to, and at the direction of, the ECOM Manager this position plans, organizes, leads, and manages production and sales within the ECOM department. The Assistant Manager ECOM is responsible for managing both production and sales teams assigned to sort, refurbish and list appropriate donated items on selected ECOM sales channels, to meet and exceed assigned production and revenue goals. This position is responsible for the safety of team members at all times while on Goodwill property, taking care of team members by making delivery of mission services to them a high priority, the delivery of excellent customer service at all times, properly safeguarding and handling customer donations to maximize their value to our mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and commit to mission services delivery to retail team members as a high priority goal. Work collaboratively with life skills coaches and HR to perform this mission.
- Establish a culture of safety, ethics and quality within all levels of the eCommerce operation.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance and support to team members that foster continuous learning and improvement in performance of the individual and the eCommerce department.
- Proactively participate in sales operations planning, goal setting, budgeting, developing continuous process improvement plans and measuring production and revenue achievements.
- Manage production and sales results and implement measures to meet and exceed assigned goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of donation flow to maximize value of donations, including Receiving, Sorting, Testing, Inventory Management, Refurbishing, listing and sales.
- Supervise the maintenance of accurate inventory and production tracking.
- Develop, implement and maintain updated operating work instructions and procedures.
- Monitor and proactively report on quality issues, donation flow, production and sales results, team member performance, and other key performance indicators.
- Effectively utilize data analytics and problem-solving skills to increase operational performance.
- Coordinates with ECOM Manager to create production schedules to meet and exceed sales revenue goals.
- Trains production and sales team members on policies, procedures, work instructions, systems, best practices, safety, and emergency responses.
- Motivates and leads production and sales team members to meet assigned objectives.
- Takes a proactive role in protecting the organization’s assets and resources by appropriately controlling expenses. Minimize shrinkage through direct observation procedures, and take immediate corrective action as needed.
- Leads the DGR-ECOM production and sales teams by engaging team members through servant leadership and modeling the expected work ethic.
- Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis.
- In conjunction with eCommerce Manager, participate in the completion and delivery of annual performance appraisals.
- Work collaboratively with life skills coaches, caseworkers, Unit Leadership, and Human Resources to support team members.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance, and coaching to help team members achieve individual and department goals.
- In conjunction with eCommerce Manager, participate in recruitment efforts, interviews, assessments, and selection of candidates to fill open positions.
- Adhere to, and ensure adherence to, all Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance, risk management, and ethics policies and procedures. Safeguard donations and all Goodwill property and resources; secure from harm, theft, accidental loss, or disposal. Promptly investigate or participate in investigations for all reported incidents.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma required; some college, bachelor’s degree in management, operations, or similar field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising production and/or retail operations using standardized quality and productivity processes to achieve revenue, productivity, net income, and other key performance goals for the organization.
- 2+ years’ experience supervising production staff through Assistant Managers and Team Leads/Supervisors.
- Experience in non-profits and human services work environments and bi-lingual (Spanish) skills a strong plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Lift up to 40 pounds in support of production areas.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
