Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Reyna's BBQ & Cocina. Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager assists in managing the restaurant, staff, and customer service, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Assist in leading and supervising restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and cashiers. Foster a positive work environment, and provide guidance and support in staff training and development.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a top-tier dining experience for our customers by maintaining a high level of service quality and addressing customer concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Operations Management: Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and kitchen operations. Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize efficiency and maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Financial Management: Contribute to controlling operational costs, managing the restaurant's budget, and maximizing profitability. Participate in financial reporting, budget planning, and cost analysis.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of food, service, and restaurant cleanliness to maintain consistent excellence. Address any issues that may affect the quality of the dining experience.
- Staff Scheduling: Assist in staff scheduling, ensuring that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet customer demand while controlling labor costs.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that the restaurant complies with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Oversee restaurant inspections and address any necessary corrections.
- Team Development: Assist in training, mentoring, and motivating team members to achieve their best performance. Identify opportunities for skill development and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Knowledge of food service industry operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and budget management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
