POSITION SUMMARY:
The Billing Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for ensuring cash flow for services provided. The individual in this position may cross train in more than one area of A/R Management. In general, the Representative is responsible for communicating understanding payer specific billing rules related to certain specialties including DME and Medications, The Representative may also be responsible for the timely follow up of open claims for their assigned insurance carriers, correcting claim rejections, reviewing denied claims, filing appeals and working special projects.
Position is in office North Canton, Ohio
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to analyze and review Insurance Billing requirements
Understanding insurance payments and copays
Daily Census reporting, demographics by locations
Month end closing and reporting
Communications with responsible parties on balance due
Review pending MedicaidWork with social workers and facilities on admission paperwork
Review accounts for Insurance corrections
Communicate with Facilities on daily census, admission paperwork
Ability to communicate clearly in emails/notes providing information needed for account resolution
Perform special projects as needed
EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE:
High school education or equivalent required
Excel knowledge
Ability to Lift 25 lbs
Nursing home and or Assisted Living billing experience preferred
Strong communication skills both written, verbal and presentation
Computer skills including word, excel and pivot tables%9815110% %%admin%%
