Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual that will assist our General Manager to lead the team as an Assistant Manager. This is a role for someone with Team management skills who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs - and, upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you! What a bonus!

- Team Management
o Assist in creating staff schedules and helps monitor daily schedules
o Maintains optimum staffing and development with all employees
o Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture.
o Delivers written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due!
o Help coach the staff on our Dogtopia-isms

- Clean and Safe Environment to ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete
o Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards.
o Inventory management of cleaning, dog and First Aid supplies.
o Dismisses dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and monitors action plans to retain those with minor issues.
- Financial and Administrative
o Utilizes training opportunities for the team such as dog injuries, billing issues, or customer complaints
o Actively communicates team developmental needs and issues to management to ensure growth
o Develops team in up-selling and using dog Evaluations to grow revenue.
o Communicates any concerns or needs to franchise owner proactively and partnering after attempting to resolve issues.
o Work with team to assure our Quality of Care sets the standards for dog care.
- Customer Service and Presentation
o Maintains a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times. This includes holding team to professional clean dress.
o Sets the example for the team on the 3 Ss (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
o Keeps the team members engaged in their duties.

As the Assistant Manager you are responsible to work with all customers and team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers. At Dogtopia, we’re passionate about dogs and believe in safe socialization, exercise and education for our furry friends. At daycare, dogs can play getting plenty of exercise in our climate-controlled open-play playrooms and even learn a new command or two under the watchful eyes of trained Canine Coaches. Paired with dogs of similar size and personality, dogs enjoy endless socialization with their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) making it the most exciting day ever! Pet parents can join in on the fun from work or home by watching their pups on the webcams. We stop at nothing to make sure dogs are happy, safe and fulfilled so their pet parent picks up a happy dog who will be begging them to bring them back for my daycare.
Dogtopia offers award-winning dog daycare, boarding and spa services (with some offering grooming and training), our core service is daycare for dogs. We love and care for all dogs like they’re our own and are dedicated to helping them become a well-balanced pup.
Pay: $38000 - $58000 / year
