Job Description
: The Assistant Operations Manager will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the Burnt Pine Golf Club. This position involves overseeing various aspects of the golf club's operations, including guest services, staff management, facility maintenance, food and beverage operations, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, organized, and service-oriented individual with a passion for golf, hospitality, and event management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the club, ensuring exceptional service standards are met across all areas, including golf services, food and beverage operations, and special events.
  • Support the Operations Manager in managing staff across different departments, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of food and beverage services, ensuring quality and efficiency in catering and dining experiences.
  • Engage with members and guests, ensuring their needs are met and their experience at the club, including dining and events, is exceptional.
  • Work closely with the culinary and events teams to facilitate the organization and management of club events, tournaments, and special functions.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the golf course, clubhouse, and related facilities are in pristine condition.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including golf equipment, food and beverage supplies, and other merchandise.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures in all operational areas.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless event execution.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management related to operations and event planning.
  • Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to golf, dining, or events in a professional and efficient manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, particularly in outdoor and event settings.
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, particularly in setting up for events and managing inventory.
  • Capable of performing tasks in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and occasional rain.
  • Dexterity and coordination to handle golf equipment, food and beverage service items, and event setup tools.
  • Comfortable with navigating the golf course grounds and event spaces, which may include uneven terrain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in golf club management, food and beverage operations, or event management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of golf course operations, food and beverage management, and event planning.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and golf club management systems.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
