ABOUT OUR COMPANY
We are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities

1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
3. Communicate with Management team regarding P&Ls, budgets, financial forecasts, etc.
4. Oversee daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping/data entry done by staff at various properties
5. Ensure deadlines are met by each department in order to deliver Month End in a timely manner
6. Assist AP with journal entries as needed
7. Process Month End and Year End, adhering to all applicable deadlines
8. Prepare Month End and Year End Financial Statements for Review, within set deadlines
9. Perform analysis of financial statements and reconciliations on balance sheet
10. Prepare and submit all relevant taxes for the hotel
11. Assist with the biannual audit
12. Actively participate in the management of the PO System and corporate policies and procedures
13. Help to establish/correct policies and procedures related to accounting functions, cash control, meeting deadlines, etc.
14. Take ownership of all accounting issues brought to your attention by guests
15. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
16. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
17. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
18. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

Core Competencies

1. Bachelor's degree in finance preferred
2. Three (3) years related experience
3. Hospitality experience preferred
4. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
5. Excellent organizational skills
6. Excellent attention to detail
7. Ability to multitask
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Ability to understand and work in various accounting systems
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet
11. Work well under pressure, requires being a team player
