What we want
Under the direction of the Executive Director for the TAMU Health Office of Interprofessional Education & Research (IPER), the Assistant Director for Interprofessional Assessment& Evaluation is responsible for high quality student assessment and program evaluation efforts; developing, modifying, and maintaining validated assessment and evaluation measures; spearheading data collection processes and data analyses for Interprofessional activities; maintaining and reporting student learning and programmatic outcomes data; advising faculty, staff, and planning committees on assessment and evaluation; participating in data interpretation and publication; and monitoring the program's success in meeting targeted metrics.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education, health professions education, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6 years of experience related to student assessment and program evaluation in higher education
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Qualtrics and/or other survey tools
- Knowledge of SPSS and/or other statistical analysis software
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and data presentation applications
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically
- Detail oriented
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctoral degree in education, health professions education, psychometrics, or related field
- Previous experience in health professions assessment and evaluation and/or experience in higher education student assessment and program evaluation
Responsibilities:
- A&E Planning - Serves on TAMU Health IPE Leadership Team and contributes to IPER's strategic planning and implementation efforts. Participates in planning, directing, and coordination of operational and procedural matters related to IPER's student and faculty assessment and program evaluation efforts in collaboration with TAMU Health schools and other participating health professions programs. Orients, consults, advises, and works with TAMU Health faculty, staff, students, and relevant committees to establish quality criteria and obtain stakeholder consensus for all aspects of assessment and evaluation. Designs, develops, and revises strategies, tools, and processes to assess student academic performance, faculty facilitation effectiveness, and overall programmatic impact in partnership with related schools and in compliance with related accreditors.
- A&E Implementation - Conducts data collection and cleaning/preparation. Analyzes assessment and evaluation data using sound research methodologies and computer software. Consults with subject matter experts as needed. Implements and maintains a system to track student achievement of identified interprofessional educational outcomes. Coordinates computer processes and systems, in consultation with IT staff, for maintaining, updating, and reporting data related to student, faculty, and programmatic outcomes. Provides guidance and supervision to other IPER staff in the execution of assessment and evaluation operations.
- A&E Reporting & Dissemination - Produces assessment and evaluation reports for internal and external stakeholders. Supports schools by providing data for self-studies and other accreditation requirements related to interprofessional education. Contributes to scholarly work in the area of Interprofessional Assessment and evaluation Represents TAMU Health and IPER in local, regional and national conferences. Performs other duties as assigned.
