Job Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Environmental Engineer (PE) to work in our Environmental Division with the Permitting and Compliance department. The Environmental Engineer will be required to develop wetland enhancement/mitigation designs, stream restoration/stabilization plans, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and post-construction stormwater facility design. The individual will also be responsible to provide construction-phase guidance to SWPPP inspectors which may include periodic site visits. The ability to communicate effectively using verbal, graphic, and written means is paramount and a necessity for this position.

Hybrid (home/office) work schedules are available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing Wetland Restoration, Enhancement and Mitigation Design Plans
- Responsible for developing Stream Bank and Shoreline Enhancement, Restoration and Stabilization
- Responsible for developing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for utility and renewable energy projects.
- Preparing various reports and studies and assisting with project related permitting.
- Reviewing SWPPP inspection reports and providing guidance and training to stormwater inspectors.
- Conducting periodic site visits to ensure compliance with stormwater permits on large construction projects.
- Minimum BS in Environmental Engineering
- Minimum requirements include a PE with 3 to 5 years' experience in a related field is required. We will support and encourage the applicant to pursue these if he or she does not already have these credentials.
- Background in Environmental Engineering or environmental permitting a plus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or ArcGIS required.
- Must have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to relate well to project team and clients.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Fast-paced environmental consulting/engineering practice.
Salary Range: $54,000-$80,000
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
