Assistant Director- Coll/Div Business Operations- Advancement

Organization

Assists the Director of College/Division Business Operations with the administration of business and financial services for a large College/Division, which may include financial and human resources management, procurement and contract administration, and endowments.

1. Oversees administrative and financial affairs of the College/Division to include personnel, procurement, payroll and budgetary information.
2. May facilitate staff hires for the College/Division.
3. Assists with budget administration, which may include budget preparation, monitoring of department budgets and cost centers, and reports. May assist with personnel reports, analyses and projections.
4. Represents the College/Division on behalf of the Director of College/Division Business Operations as required.
5. Provides training and support to departmental administration and staff regarding financial, budgetary and personnel.
6. Reviews and certifies all expenditure and income documents for College/Division; serves as certifying signature authority in the absence of the Director of College/Division Business Operations.
7. Reviews contracts for compliance with university policies and procedures.,
8. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Bachelors and 5 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related.
