We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller to manage all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Assist in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies by developing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist in coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and tax filings.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with exposure to financial reporting and analysis.
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
