Responsibilities:
- Oversee property and/or debt investment accounting staff, reviewing reconciliations and financial statements.
- Lead monthly closing and consolidation process for assigned portfolios.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results for discussion with senior executives.
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements and investor reports.
- Ensure compliance with partnership agreements and investor side letters.
- Manage investment management and incentive fee calculations.
- Prepare joint venture waterfall calculations and capital accounts.
- Calculate distributions to partners and manage debt covenant compliance.
- Oversee external audit process and manage third-party relationships.
- Develop and manage Performance Reporting Accounting staff.
- Enhance internal controls surrounding financial reporting disclosure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting concentration preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate or private equity industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage variable workloads.
- CPA license and public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to technology changes.
