PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Convention & BanquetAssistant Chef will be responsible for maintaining quality and proper presentation of food. You will be responsible for reviewing event orders and have extensive knowledge and skill in all aspects of kitchen and banquet operations. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Maintain quality and proper presentation of food.
- Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly.
- Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings.
- Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost.
- Understand and utilize systems for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a high-volume setting or similar role.
- Experience working in a similar resort setting.
- Previous experience working in a banquet environment.
- Previous experience in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant.
- Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.
