As a Convention-Banquet Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining quality and proper presentation of food. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
DAY TO DAY:
- Maintain quality and proper presentation of food
- Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly
- Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings
- Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost
- Understand and utilize Stratton Warren system properly for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the methods, processes, and tools for maintaining the books of the organization and preparing financial statements and reports
- Extensive knowledge and skill experience in all aspects of kitchen operations and equipment
- Knowledge of soup, sauce, meat, fish, poultry, casserole, and vegetable preparations
- Able to lead and mentor a team
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
A GREAT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a high volume setting
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Associate degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute
- Five (5) years of experience in a high volume, with strong food knowledge, hotel/casino environment
- Experience working in a similar resort setting
