About the Opportunity: The purpose of the Assistant Buyer role is to provide efficient and timely support to the buying team, covering all aspects of the portfolio and administration, as well as being the first point of contact for queries.

The Assistant Buyer is responsible for assisting in the end to end process of the buying lifecycle, ensuring buys are completed as per the critical path from vendor creation to item/ PO creation to receiving and items going live for sale to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies
• Ensure timely and accurate order placement and follow-up
• Verify order accuracy, including quantity, pricing, and delivery schedules
• Monitor On Order Report weekly to ensure purchase orders are tracking on time
• Coordinate with vendors and Senior Buyer on potential shifts and then action in the system
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities

• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and product innovations
• Provide market research reports to support buying decisions
• After establishing ownership of PO Entry and OO maintenance, this position will buy a select few brands
• From the line showing to pre-booking to speaking on sales performance, these select brands will be this role's responsibility 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or minimum of 2-3 years working experience in a fashion/ retail environment preferred
• Database management experience with advanced Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite application skills 
• Extremely high accuracy & attention to detail
• A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• High degree of flexibility and initiative
• Emotional resilience and a winning mindset!

$66,560 - $70,000 a year

The actual base hourly rate offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
