Assistant Accountant - Bookkeeper

This job packs a punch, offering a good salary range of $19- $20 per hour (with the potential to hit $25 if you know your accounting). WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• 1+ years of QuickBooks experience, including bank and credit card reconciliations
• 1+ years of bookkeeping experience, including preparing journal entries
• Great attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel

Preferred qualifications include:

• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to follow up with multiple clients
• Prior experience in preparing 1099s
• Strong verbal and writing skills

YOUR TYPICAL DAY:

This is a full-time gig with hours that change up during the year:

• From January 1st to April 15th, it's 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• From April 16th to December 31st, we dial it back a bit: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.

You'll punch in transactions, make sure accounts agree, and give financial statements a good check for mistakes. You're also the one who gets the journal entries ready and helps with payroll. And guess what? You'll even lend a hand with Form 1099s and tax stuff.

But it's not just about numbers. You'll team up with our CPA and dive deep into account analysis and other fancy money stuff. You'll need sharp eyes for detail and quick fingers on the keyboard to keep those numbers tidy. Our office is modern, and we keep it laid-back when it comes to dress code. It's all about working together as a team and getting chances to learn on the job.
