About the Position: The DCS, G-6 Army Spectrum Management Office (ASMO) presents and defends Army electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) interests at various National, international, Department of Defense (DOD), Joint, other Federal and domestic agency panels and working groups. Leads ASMO's efforts to automate the functional areas of EMS management supportability and electromagnetic compatibility.Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating concepts, principles and practices of telecommunications systems and equipment which use electromagnetic spectrum (EMS); assisting in analyzing proposals for use of the EMS by users within United States; participating in special studies and surveys of EMS usage to obtain data, develop information and recommend new policy, regulations and procedures for improved use and reduction of actual or potential harmful interference; managing accuracy and completeness of data contained in radio frequency assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
