We are currently hiring a Mounter/Assembler - 1st Shift (8:00am-4:30pm)

Hourly Rate: Starting at $18.00 per hour

What you'll do:

• Insert ophthalmic lenses into correct side of ophthalmic frame (right and left lens)
• Ensure that lenses are correct size and fit into frame
• Ensure that any special beveling needs are met for each individual Rx
• Properly align frame by bending with fingers and/or tools
• Verify the axis on all multi-focal lenses
• Make sure all lenses are cosmetically acceptable
• Align bifocals and progressives to make sure they are straight across
• Briefly inspect frames for defects or broken parts
• Ensure all new frames have correct frame alignment
• All screws are tight and check for sealed eye wear instructions
• Cross-train in other positions and help in other areas of department when needed
• Remove eye wire screws from ophthalmic frames to facilitate insertion of edged lenses

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of Lab experience helpful
