Assembly / Shipping Receiving

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will have experience with fabricating, using power tools, and operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.

Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the contents
- Inspect received items for damages or defects
- Unpack and organize items in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transportation
- Create shipping labels and documentation using computer systems
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure stock levels are accurate
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred
- Familiarity with fabricating, assembling, and using power tools
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer skills for creating shipping labels and documentation
- Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical processes

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
