Asl Sign Language Interpreter (24-25 School Year) - Remote Option

Come work with a local, woman, and therapist founded and run company! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter to provide services in the school setting for the 2024-2025 School Year. We are looking for to hire for a 0.4-0.6 FTE position.

We are proud to be founded by school-based therapists. We offer industry-leading wages for ASL Sign Language Interpreters, starting at $40/hour.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Sign Language Interpreter transliterates and interprets, through use of Sign Language, materials for the hearing disabled student. Facilitates communication between users and non-users of Sign Language.
• Position begins ASAP thru the end of the School Year with high possibility to extend to next School Year

Qualifications and Skills

• Thorough knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Signing Exact English
• Must have State Authorization as an Educational Interpreter
• 4.0 EIPA or higher required
• Requires fingerprinting before starting
• In-person preferred, remote or hybrid considered!
