The Production Artist role reports to the Lead Production Artist or Art Director. It is responsible for working with the Producers, Stakeholders and the Art and Design teams to provide high quality, well and efficiently executed production art support for games and other content being developed by Penn Game Studios.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Production Artist works with the stakeholders, producers, designers and other artists to provide the following support for the PGS team:
- Create 2d and 3d art solutions consistent with game designs and conceptual themes for use in development, presentation and promotional material that meet required technical and quality standards.
- While primarily focused on 2D and 3D art, production artists may also be called upon to provide generalist art support that can include ui, animation and fx components.
- Establish practical, efficient approaches to art production tasks while collaborating with the team to adopt and maintain best practices.
- Assist in maintaining style guides and the documentation of best practices
- Estimate the time necessary to complete tasks
- Use industry-standard tools for design and art production including the Adobe Suite and Maya or Blender
- Participate in art reviews and contribute feedback through the course of development.
- Update status of work daily in Slack and in Jira
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements

- Competence in Blender/Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or other standard industry art creation tools.
- Familiarity with After Effects, Spine and/or FX fundamentals and tools is a plus.
- Willingness to adapt to new tools and workflows to improve process and standards.
- A portfolio showing your 2d and 3d work.
- 2+ years of experience as a senior or lead 2D/3D Artist in the gaming industry.
- Ability to work during normal ET business hours 9a-5p (UTC05:00).
- Experience with casino and/or mobile games is a plus.
