Walnut Hill School for the Arts seeks a STAGE MANAGER for the 2024 Summer Theater Intensive program.
The Stage Manager is responsible for facilitating the smooth and safe operation of all rehearsals, performances and events within the program. All classes, rehearsals, and performances will take place on campus, both at Keiter Center for the Performing Arts and the Delbridge Center for the Performing Arts. The Stage Manager will work with the Creative Team to schedule and operate all rehearsals and productions, including two one act plays and a full length musical. The Stage Manager will work closely with the students each day, and should have much experience working with students aged 12-18.
The ideal candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, and work effectively with professionals and students in a fast paced summer stock environment. We seek individuals with advanced theater training and professional experience in this position. All offers of employment are contingent upon state and federal background checks.
About the Program: Walnut Hill Summer Theater develops theatrical ability, skills, and knowledge through performance and classroom work for further study in school and college. The program consists of three productions in four weeks (two plays and a musical). Each student is cast in one play and all are cast in the musical, with each show performed on consecutive evenings. Daily classes in acting, musical theater, and dance are an integral part of the program, and strike a balance between process and performance. Walnut Hill School for the Arts is an independent high school offering a transformational educational experience designed for student artists.
Schedule: Approximately 8 hours per day, scheduled between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM

Salary: $4,000
