Hawaii Radiologic Associates (HRA) is seeking a full time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in beautiful Hilo, Hawaii. HRA is an outpatient imaging clinic that has been servicing Hawai'i Island for over 50 years with two clinics in Hilo and one clinic in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Relocation assistance may be provided to candidates who do not currently reside on Hawai'i Island.
A successful Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, patient schedule, quality assessment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images.
- Use independent judgement during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiae between normal and pathologic findings.
- Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician.
- Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physicals comfort of patients while they are in our care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Associate of Science Degree in Radiology Technology.
- Registered with ARDMS or ARRT.
- Active certification by ARDMS or ARRT for specialties as appropriate.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (acquire within one month of hire)
- Current compliance with CME requirements for specialties as appropriate.
Preferred Qualification
- Two (2) years experience as a staff Ultrasonography
