Hiring: Area Operations Manager
Pay: $80,000/yr.
Schedule: Monday through Sunday, Days and Nights.
Location: Irvine, CA
The Area Operations Manager is primarily a multi-unit operator in an effort to improve the Yogurtland business model. The Area Operations Manager must be versatile and flexible to learn the basic foundation of each correlating department working alongside operating stores. The Area Operations Manager must continually keep themselves informed of any QSR-related or operational updates and revisions and help to implement and uphold Yogurtland-recognized principles and values. The Area Operations Manager must be highly organized, professional, effective, an informative link and a liaison between the Yogurtland Corporate Support Center and the Corporate Stores.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and organizes an annual strategic business plan for each unit based on operational and financial goals.
- Prepares, analyzes, and delivers on a weekly basis each store's performance report and prepares the Consolidated Performance Review to be sent to management, HR, and Accounting.
- Supports the Training Department and the Store Opening Managers with pre-opening requirements and provides Associates for training when opening a new store.
- Schedules quarterly meetings with the Store Managers to discuss strategic planning, new promos, efficiency, cost of goods, training, human resources, etc.
- Posts ads for stores that need support in the recruitment and hiring process.
- Monitors POS transactions using MY Micros to keep voids and cancellations to a low level.
- Conducts Associate evaluations and appraisals with Store Managers and Shift Leaders to monitor performance.
- Documents and sends to Human Resources all materials related to write-ups, conversations, and performance meetings with Associates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or eight years business experience.
- Operational knowledge of human resources preferred.
- Proficient in English, both in verbal and written word.
- Ability to coach and provide insight to Store Managers.
- Diverse functional knowledge of restaurant concepts, procedures, and practices.
- Proficient knowledge of marketing concepts, avenues, and procedures.
- Proficient in understanding, analyzing, and improving company-wide and retail P&L statements.
- Strong management expertise and exceptional organization and planning skills.
- Ability to hold confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity.
- Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- ServSafe or equivalent.
