Job Title: Area Manager

Compensation: Salaried

Location: South Western NH, South Eastern VT & Greenfield MA

Join our team at Sanel NAPA, a leading player in the Automotive Aftermarket industry. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Manager to oversee the financial success and day-to-day operations of a group of stores within a designated geographical area. Geographical area includes: Keene NH, Newport NH, Claremont NH, Brattleboro VT, Bellows Falls VT, Londonderry VT, Springfield VT, Greenfield MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve financial objectives and quotas.
  • Identify and cultivate new customers, leading to revenue opportunities for Sanel NAPA.
  • Build and coach store teams to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results.
  • Manage and implement turnaround plans for underperforming stores.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Drive business initiatives for improving distribution channels and managing store resets.
  • Oversee the management of business assets, including purchasing, equipment, and inventory.
  • Evaluate and analyze financial and operational data. Make necessary adjustments and take action based on projections to enhance performance, collaborating with Sanel NAPA Store Managers, and formulating a plan of action as required.
  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, development, coaching, and promotional opportunities.
  • Ensure high standards of performance and adherence to company policies.


Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent Automotive Aftermarket experience.
  • Solid knowledge of NAPA store operations.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and profit quotas.
  • Direct store experience; P&L analysis experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and video conferencing tools (Zoom/Teams).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in crafting and delivering regular verbal and electronic presentations at store, corporate, and executive meetings.
  • Showcase a proven capability to establish and execute daily, weekly, and monthly agendas.
  • Display flexibility and adeptness in working within a team environment.
  • Exhibit the capacity to diagnose problems, gather information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and resolve a range of operational issues from routine to complex.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret and explain instructions, processes, and policies, including financial, inventory, and operational reports.
  • Establish programs and procedures, identify operational problems, and recommend a plan of action in situations where limited standardization may exist.
  • Possess personal qualities of flexibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner, approaching others tactfully, handling pressure effectively, treating individuals with respect regardless of their status, accepting responsibility for actions, and consistently following through on commitments.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and employees.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities and the capability to fulfill assignments with minimal supervisory oversight.
  • Maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds.
  • Reach, handle objects, and use hands regularly.
  • Stand, walk, and climb stairs regularly.
  • Bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.
  • Talk and/or hear frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors regularly in all elements.
