UVM FSRC Grants Manager

Posting Summary:Provide financial and human resource management for the UVM Food Systems Research Center. Perform financial analysis and planning, budget development, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Fulfill federal, state, grants, and foundation reporting activity reporting requirements, assist with budget development for grant applications, and facilitate actions related to personnel management (new hires and distributions). Work closely with Sponsored Project Administration (SPA), Account and Procurement Services, and the regional ARS team. Serve as point person for all budgeting matters, facilities and space, and technology. Report to Operations and Program Manager.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field and two to four years of related experience required. Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team required. Ability to exercise discretion when working with confidential or sensitive information required. Proficiency in productivity software including spreadsheet and database applications. Microsoft Office Suite applications, including extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Access/database
Desirable Qualifications:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Access/database structure highly desirable. Familiarity with education and research. Experience with Enterprise-wide systems, such as PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin, and Axiom, desirable. Familiarity with general hiring practices.
Anticipated Pay Range:$60,000 to $70,000
Other Information:The position is expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week, in accordance with the UVM Telework Policy.
Special Conditions:Contingent on continued funding, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
