APS-3: Maintenance Manager (Special Projects)

KBR executes a contract for the US Army to provide Maintenance and Logistics services at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston, located on the Charleston Naval Weapons Station, Goose Creek, SC. The Team is currently supporting emergent mission requirements set by various Presidential Directives to provide limited Field Level Maintenance and onward movement (both by air and surface) on the full spectrum combat and tactical equipment from the U.S. Army either currently assigned to or transferred to the program. Equipment sets are configured for rapid hand-off and are stored aboard vessels strategically placed around the world.
The Operations (PD) Manager serves as the program lead for the successful completion of the Presidential Directive missions while managing approximately 34 individuals, making up a variety of skills.
Oversees the entire receipt maintenance function, repairs, and the onward movement as it applies to the Tracked Vehicle Maintenance, Wheeled Maintenance, Ground Support Equipment, Construction and Materiel Handling Equipment, Weapon system, and Communications Electronics Maintenance.
Work is generally conducted on site in a variety of setting from office, maintenance bays, or shipping /transportation lots (outdoors environment) with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain work areas. Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking within work areas can be expected.
Specific Responsibilities:
- As the functional area manager, IAW the program policies and procedures and applicable Department of Army regulations/manuals, ensures work performed is in compliance with specifications outlined in the customer's Work Load Guidance.
- Provides Program Management and the customer with weekly (or as required) updates on project status as it pertains to schedule for each subordinate work centers
- Serves as the point of contact to the customer for all matters related to PD missions
- Responsible for enforcing Health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment is provided for our employees, and OSHA requirements are met.
- Routinely meet and interface with the customer and internal departments as the single point of contact for all matters pertaining to program current and future operations
- Participates in proposal and budget analysis, provides input into Basis of Estimate (BOE)
- Responsible for care and accountability of all assigned government furnished vehicles, tools, and facilities
- Enforces government and program policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / management or related field is preferred. Applicable specialized military or military contracting experience can be used in lieu of formal post high school education on a one to one basis.
- Familiarity with Army maintenance policy along with Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) is a plus
- Quality control / quality assurance training or QMS experience is a plus
- Military experience in maintenance management / supervision is a plus
- Must have an excellent attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid State Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.
- Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.
- Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. - 50 lbs. periodically.
- Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.
- Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.
