- Leading or assisting in the implementation of new software applications, ensuring that they are properly configured and integrated with existing systems.
- Providing training to end-users on how to use the software effectively and efficiently. This may involve creating training materials, conducting workshops, or offering one-on-one support.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues or bugs in the software, either independently or by collaborating with software developers or technical support teams.
- Tailoring software configurations to meet the specific needs and requirements of the organization. This may involve modifying settings, creating custom reports, or developing new features.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for software applications, including user guides, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Testing software updates or new releases to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitoring the performance of software applications and identifying opportunities for optimization or improvement. This may involve analyzing usage data, conducting performance tests, or implementing performance-tuning strategies.
- Work directly with external system softwareproject management and technicians to investigate, diagnose, and implement any necessary changes to data structure or physical components.
- Ensuring that software applications comply with relevant security standards and regulations and implementing appropriate security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in software technology, and continuously expanding knowledge and skills through training and professional development activities.
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met and that all interfaces between systems are maintained and running properly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or a combination of related education and experience.
- 3-5 Years of experience supporting applications, new software implementation, data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management & Microsoft Access
- Understanding of development tools and their correlation to database structures.
- Must have excellent presentation skills with experience in operating a database, word processing software, spreadsheet and a graphics package.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn applications and provide support.
- Analytical problem-solving skills along with ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.
- Must be able to handle competing priorities with the ability to identify urgent and critical priorities for the business.
- 90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities.
- 10% of work is accomplished outdoors, on buses or other vehicles or in the bus yard.
- Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
- The employee is sometimes subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Must submit to drug testing and a background check.
