Position Summary
The Application Development Intern will work with the Application Development Engineer to analyze existing systems, implement changes/migrate data, and propose improvements to improve functionality and make systems more efficient. This position will also analyze business requirements to identify where Great Northern can integrate new, innovative technologies; develop and provide oversight for Microsoft SQL, SharePoint/Teams, Microsoft PowerBI, and additional applications as needed; develop and document the proposed technical design for integration and implementation of any new hardware or software and work with location IT team members and external vendors to implement.
Pay/Schedule
- $21.00 per hour
- Full time during the summer with the potential for hours during the school year.

Expectation

Qualified candidates for this position will be at a junior or senior level in college/university pursuing an information technology related degree having completed at least one programming course with Microsoft programming languages preferred. Applicants need also be open to learning about system technical operations (Microsoft Server, SQL, SharePoint Online, Microsoft PowerBI) and toolsets to maintain efficient and effective systems for Great Northern.
